This course introduces programmable logic controllers (PLCs). It explains the components of a PLC system along with the basic instructions and how they are programmed. Communication drivers, maintenance, and troubleshooting are also covered. Upon completion of this course a student will be able to: -Identify a PLC system and its components -Program and interpret ladder logic instructions -Configure the communications drivers using RSLogix5000™ and RSLinx™ -Use the programming software to monitor input and output devices -Understand the diagnostics provided by the programming software -Perform general practices for maintaining and troubleshooting a PLC system. This course will be held at Bevill State Community College - Hamilton Campus (1481 Military Street S Hamilton, Alabama 35570) - Room K1 in Health and Science Building. Lunch t be provided.
