Course Description

This course is a generalized overview of environmental regulations and procedures for employees with minimal knowledge of environmental regulations.  Topics include all environmental media: air, water, land, waste.  Also addressed are permitting requirements, compliance plans, inspections, and reporting.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course a student will be able to:

  1. Understand environmental regulations and identify sources for researching specific topics.
  2. Understand permitting requirements.
  3. Understand requirements and deadlines for various regulatory reporting.
  4. Understand sources of emissions and control devices.
  5. Understand requirements for and manage proper storage for wastes.
  6. Understand generator status for waste generators.
