Course Description

In the CMT program, a participant who endeavors to be a Millwright will learn basic maintenance concepts. There are 3 levels.  An exam is given after each level.  Successful completion of each level is required to be eligible to enter the next level.  This program includes some hands-on applications based upon participants needs.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Achieve an International Maintenance Technician Certificate upon passing all 3 levels of the program.

  8. Understanding Basic Mechanics:  Hand and power tool safety, fasteners
  9. Bearings, shaft seals, and lubrication
  10.  Chain Drives, Belt Drives, Gear Drives, Shaft Drives, and Fluid Drives
  11.  Piping Systems and Pumps
  12.  Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  13.  Industrial Rigging and Equipment Installation (basic)
  14.  Welding Principles (Basic)
  15.  Basic Electricity and Electronics, Electrical Safety, & Measuring Instruments
